Shadow of a Horned God
Hector Augustinus, also called “The Morbid Scholar” or “The Fatalistic Prince”, is an Elder Cappadocian walking Via Ossium. He is the current Prince of Glevum, although he has been absent for the last 50 years. He received his Embrace in AD 407 from the famous Scholar Minerva, who also became his Mentor. For the five decades of his unlife, he led a quiet existence as her pupil, until the Feast of Folly in AD 444. This event changed his goals and personality, and he returned to Britannia six years later after a time of studying in the monastery at Erciyes. He returned alone (Minerva experienced an even rougher crisis and stayed at Erciyes), and once again accompanied his friend and companion Octavius Sibius.
In AD 616, after helping Octavius become the Prince of Deva Victrix, Hector was appointed Scourge by his ally, a position which suited him fine as a Scholar of Death. This is also the year he met his companion and “guardian”, Fherah. Hector was also a key figure in the exposal of Rex Noctem and the Covenant of Death, which caused his sire to return to Britannia, this time as a devout Faithful. He also engaged in politics, playing a part in the founding of the Mercian League. He became a secret ally of Rhydderick, an alliance which might prove fruitful in the near future. During the strives of the 7th century, Hector played a key part in several wars and politics, and also “rescued” both Giyora and Geraint after they had suffered defeats in battle. The latter because of his recent status as ally, since Hectors induction into Mithras Heirs in the early 7th century. During this time he also sired his first childe, Eowa of Mercia.
In AD 742, Hector left Deva and claimed the newly vacant title of Prince in the city of Glevum, bringing with him both Fherah and Eowa. Hector is counted among the most prominent Scholars in Britannia and is famed for his mastery of the Auspex Discipline, as well as having created a few potent Mortis rituals. As a ruler, Hector have been known as a direct ruler who seldom compromises his interests. In AD 821, Hector left Britannia on a journey to Erciyes, but is rumored to return in the near future. During his absence, matters in Glevum are handled by his childe, Eowa. During his time in Erciyes, Hector has attained the status of Paragon on his Road, and what changes he will attempt upon his return, no one knows.
